根據科技網站theoverspill報導，宏達電由於經濟規模小，去年第4季平均每賣出一支手機，就虧損38美元，蘋果則是平均每賣出1支手機就賺184美元，打趴所有非蘋玩家，索尼與三星則每賣一支手機，就分別賺26、23美元。對此，宏達電不予評論。
受到不只一個利空消息拖累，宏達電今天股價開低走低，早盤大跌7.5%，最低下探104元。
蘋果在今天凌晨舉行發表會，由執行長庫克正式宣布推出iPhone SE，強調是「史上效能最好的4吋iPhone」。
